Tahanan is operated in the Philippines and follows the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act 10173).
What we collect
- When you use the Match questionnaire or a contact form: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your preferred contact channel and time zone, and your answers.
- When you create an account: your email address, your name if you give it, and your sign-in method.
- When you browse: analytics events such as pages viewed, filters used, and projects saved. These are tied to an anonymous identifier, and to your account if you sign in. Where the law requires it, as in the EU and Quebec, analytics cookies are only set after you accept them. Elsewhere they are on from your first visit, unless your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. Anyone can switch them off at any time under Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
Why we collect it
To match you with projects, to have a licensed broker contact you when you ask for that, to remember your favourites and saved searches, and to understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
Who sees it
The Tahanan team and the licensed broker working your inquiry. When you ask about a specific developer project, we may share your inquiry with that developer's sales team so they can prepare computations and availability. We do not sell your data.
Where it is stored
The site runs on service providers for website hosting, the database and email. Their servers may be outside the Philippines, and they process your data only to run the site for us.
How long we keep it
Account data for as long as your account exists. Inquiry data for as long as needed to serve you and for our records, typically up to 3 years after the last contact.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct, or delete your personal data, to receive a copy of it, or to object to its processing. Account deletion can be requested from your account page. You may also complain to the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
